We’ve played this lovely little local mini-fest twice now, and it’s a great event. Why not come and join us for an evening of great music, great food and great company. Let’s hope the weather’s great too….
Here’s a lovely thing we’ve started doing in the last couple of months – hosting a monthly jam in a great cafe overlooking the olympic park.
It’s not just ukes, and everyone’s welcome, from complete beginners (come a bit early for a half-hour basics lessons) to virtuosos. All ages too. Bring your own instrument (or voice), or there are a couple of ukes to borrow (come half an hour early for some basic uke tuition).

Playing at a street party in Ilford. We’re on about 16:30 for half an hour. If you live in the area or can make it out to Barkingside, come and see us! Lots of fun will allegedly be going on, and we’re just part of it. Somehow the Queen’s got in on the act, can’t think why….
Another evening of singalong ukulele fun in the caff overlooking the olympic park, using the Ukulele Wednesdays songbook. Not limited to ukes! Come half an hour early if you’d like some basic uke tuition.

We played this event last year. It’s in a beautiful venue: the Walled Garden in Valentine’s Park. Bring a picnic, bring a friend, settle in and enjoy all the musical loveliness on offer. ….

Well, we may be a reduced outfit these days, but Funky Pluckers are welcoming the spring and beginning what we hope will be another great season of performances this year, warming up next week with the fantastic Box of Toys open mic session at Kafe 1788 in Poplar. All sorts of brilliant performances guaranteed. See you there?
