Save the Old Spotted Dog campaign are hosting their annual Benefit Gig at the Red House on Friday November 13th – a great evening of entertainment, raising funds for the campaign.
Featuring US!!!! (“more ukuleles than is strictly decent in a public space”) alongside John Ellis (singer/songwriter/guitar maestro), Dorten Yonder, Chris Tymkow, John Beard, Mike Edmonds and more.
Hope you can come and support a cause dear to the heart of our much-missed founder plucker, Mark McGlynn.
Here it is, a new uke jam, overlooking the olympic park and hosted by us.
Come along with your instrument (it doesn’t have to be a uke) or just singalong / clap / generally percuss away (I looked it up: it’s not a word…).
It’s open to everyone, and it’s FREE
Look forward to seeing you there!
We’ve played a few times at this lovely open mic evening, overlooking the olympic park. This time we’re headlining. Come along for a great evening of music and spoken word – you never know who’s going to turn up. Fantastic acts, lovely food and drink, great view, great atmosphere. What more could you want?
Here’s a lovely thing we’ve started doing in the last couple of months – hosting a monthly jam in a great cafe overlooking the olympic park.
It’s not just ukes, and everyone’s welcome, from complete beginners (come a bit early for a half-hour basics lessons) to virtuosos. All ages too. Bring your own instrument (or voice), or there are a couple of ukes to borrow (come half an hour early for some basic uke tuition).
Good, clean fun on a Wednesday evening, Last Wednesday of every month. Look forward to seeing you!
